IMES has been formally recognised for the high level of systems and applications in relation to its inspection, monitoring and engineering solutions services to the oil and gas and utilities industries.

The company has completed its Achilles Verification assessments, covering both FPAL and UVDB sectors, following rigorous checks of company principles, practices and procedures.

Achilles runs FPAL and UVDB, supplier management databases used by operators and large service contractors in the European oil and gas market and the UK utilities market.

The business was rated across a number of key business operations via FPAL, including quality (9.0), health and safety (8.7), environment (8.0) and training and competence (8.9).

In all of the elements assessed, IMES achieved a higher score than in its previous FPAL assessment (June 2013). Key to the significant increase in the environmental score was the successful achievement of ISO14001:2004 certification in September 2013.

In addition, IMES has completed UVDB verification for the first time and again scored well in all assessed elements. This involved an evaluation of management systems, compliance as well as an onsite assessment. Key areas assessed included system compliance and effectiveness for quality, health and safety and environment.
