IMES was recently given a special mention in the Aircraft Carrier Alliance’s Commissioning update on the Prince of Wales, the UK’s largest ever warship and second Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carrier.  IMES has commissioned and load tested all capstans and winches on the carrier, which is being built in Rosyth.

Rory Bulloch, Commissioning Manager, said: “Our project had some really high calibre people, including the team from IMES International.  Peter Smith and his team from IMES International were steadfast in their support by working late and at short notice to keep the task on track.  They prioritised our trials over others as we were able to maintain near-constant contact building up to, and preparing for, these trials.  Their communication and professionalism has been a great asset.”
