IMES have recently completed a 275t load test of a KENZ crane onboard a Dive Support Vessel in Terneuzen, Holland. For this particular test IMES created a method statement without utilising a spreader beam which would normally be required for such a large capacity load test.

Using this methodology kept the cost to a minimum for the client as well as making the rigging arrangement safer due to no equalising monitoring required whilst filling the waterbags at each end of the spreader beam.
